I just did a massive "I'm embarrassed by my old artwork" clean up of my gallery.
Good GRIEF, I look at some of that old stuff and cringe... Was I REALLY that bad at constructing a face?! I shouldn't be saying this, because I'll probably look back on my recent art in several years and say "Hitler's Ghost, that looks awful...".
But really, I think that's what I want.
The reason I didn't completely delete my old art (I just moved it to its own folder) is because it feels good to see how much I've improved since then. And hopefully I can look at my recent art in several years and see an even bigger improvement. I think as an artist you can never really stop improving. Not if you keep doing it anyway, you just keep getting better and better.
That's what I like about Art.
